VOLUNTARY SERVICE
The Youth Red Cross (YRC) and Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Kongu Polytechnic College actively promote social responsibility, health awareness, and humanitarian values among students.
Together, the YRC and RRC provide students with opportunities to serve society and contribute towards building a healthy, responsible, and compassionate community through life-saving blood donation drives, certified first-aid workshops, and public health rallies.

Youth Red Cross (YRC)
The Youth Red Cross encourages students to participate in activities such as blood donation camps, first-aid awareness programmes, disaster management, community service, and other humanitarian activities. It helps students develop leadership qualities, discipline, and a spirit of service to society.
Key Activities & Focus Areas:
- Organizing voluntary Blood Donation Camps in collaboration with local medical authorities.
- Conducting certified First-Aid training and emergency medical response workshops.
- Disaster preparedness, community relief assistance, and humanitarian outreach.
- Instilling civic discipline, empathy, leadership, and proactive societal commitment.
Health Awareness & LifestyleRRC
Red Ribbon Club (RRC)
The Red Ribbon Club creates awareness among students about blood donation, healthy lifestyles, and other health-related issues. Through various awareness programmes, rallies, campaigns, and community outreach activities, the club encourages students to lead responsible and healthy lives.
Key Activities & Focus Areas:
- Spreading widespread awareness on voluntary blood donation and donor registry.
- Promoting healthy lifestyles, personal hygiene, and disease prevention education.
- Organizing interactive awareness rallies, street plays, and peer-to-peer campaigns.
- Empowering student youth to lead compassionate, responsible, and drug-free lives.
